EMST

Celebratory cocktail event on the occasion of the D.Daskalopoulos Gift announcement hosted by Aggelis Antonopoulos, President of the Board of EMST, Artistic Director, Katerina Gregos, and Dimitris Daskalopoulos at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens.

The President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, saluted the occasion: “I feel that we owe a big thank you to Dimitris Daskalopoulos. With this gesture, he seals his long contribution to society. Through his great gift, he ensures the spread of art’s messages to as many recipients as possible thus inspiring, provoking, stimulating our personal conscience, exciting our thinking, leading to the reconciliation with our shared predicament and, finally, to its transcendence”.

Katerina Gregos noted: “Dimitris Daskalopoulos’s act is not simply a donation, but an act of national importance, where the private becomes an important public legacy. On behalf of EMST and myself, we thank Dimitris Daskalopoulos from the bottom of our heart for his generosity, but mostly for his trust”.

Tassoulas, President of the Hellenic Parliament, Nicholas Yatromanolakis, Deputy Minister of Culture & Sports, Responsible for Contemporary Culture, Richard Armstrong, Director of the Solomon R.
